2018 IRC Tiny House Code Proposal Crowdfunding Live

Our crowd funding page is up and running for the 2018 IRC Tiny House Code Proposal. In less than 24 hours, over $2,700 have been donated!!! We are thrilled to see this much support come in and that we are getting that much closer to our $15,000 goal.

We are raising money for the code change for two needs:

1) To pay our mentor/code writer Martin Hammer. He has a lot of experience in creating code and was co-author on the proposal that got straw bale construction into the 2015 IRC! Martin worked on this proposal with Andrew for two months, so many, many hours.

2) Getting co-commentators out to the hearing in Kansas City in October in front of the ICC committee. The more people that we have presenting various portions of the proposal, the better the chances that it will pass. It’s critical that we get our team out there!! Your fund raising donations will help get them there.

To be clear, no one is charging for their time (except for our code mentor). We are all doing this pro bono because we are passionate about the cause and want to see tiny houses get to the next level. All donations go towards paying Martin and getting the defense team out to the hearing.
