Noise: Learning How To Hear Below It
I would be lying if I said that I am 100% confident that selling a large portion of our belongings, letting our rental house go and moving to Baja for 5 months to live in a pop-up tent trailer is going to be a part of the solution to reconnect with the things that matter most. For all I know, this could be the beginning of an experience I’ll later come to loathe with every fiber of my being. I guess it comes down to being willing to take the risk of the journey in the quest to find out who I am without all of the distractions and noise that keep me busy in my day to day.
“Who am I?” is a question that is coming to mind frequently these days. I know myself pretty well within the role of American woman but I’m not sure that I’m so fond of her these days. Actually, let me re-phrase. I see the potential for so much more, but feel like I can’t get to it because there is too much extra ‘noise’ in my life. It is my hope that without all of the ‘noise’ of a large home, steep bills, and heavy to-do schedules that I will be able to be silent and still enough to start listening to something deeper within my being.
