Turning Tiny Book: A Must Read
We are excited to share that a new book about tiny houses is now available for purchase. It is called “Turning Tiny” and we are proud to have an image of hOMe gracing its cover. The idea to develop this book came from Darin Zaruba, creator of the Tiny House Jamboree and EcoCabins.com after he became inspired by hearing so many tiny housers’ stories. Together with a team, he collected chapters from over 60 tiny house luminaries and assembled them all into an amazing literary work.
Contributing authors include
Jay Shafer, Dee Williams, Andrew and I (we each have a chapter), Laura LaVoie, Kent Griswold, Deek Diedricksen, Andrew Odom, BA Norrgard, Conrad Rogue, Zack Giffin, Alexis Stephens and Christian Parsons, Jody Pountain, Julie Puckett, Kai Rostcheck, Hari Berzins, Kim Kasl, Lee Pera, Lina Menard, Frieda Bakker, Lora Higgins, Christopher and Malissa Tack, Rene Hardee, Rob Greenfield, Sean David Burke, Trevor Gay and Mary Benasutti, MJ Boyle, Vina Lustado, Nina Zamudio, Baylie Carlson, Brad Kittel, Jewel Pearson, Steve Weissmann, Darin Zaruba himself and many more.
I can say that as section leader for the “Alternative Tiny Houses” chapters, I was blown away by the sincerity and quality of the chapters that our contributors wrote. We’ve got everything from container tiny houses, to living aboard boats, to living in an office under the radar, to cob, straw bale, and more. I am personally really looking forward to reading the rest of the chapters in the other sections as well.
The book can be purchased and mailed to your house but it can also be picked up at the Tiny House Jamboree if you are attending the event. You can find out more about it, take a peek inside, and order it HERE.
It is our experience that those willing to take the plunge into tiny living are deep thinkers and pioneers; always interesting people with fascinating stories. If you are looking for inspiration and also to learn about the various ways that tiny housers are making this lifestyle work for them, we highly recommend “Turning Tiny“.
